The World Health Organization (WHO) has marked April 7, 2016 as World Health Day. The focus of this year’s theme is diabetes.

The number of people living with diabetes has almost quadrupled since 1980 to 422 million adults and this number likely to more than double in the next 20 years. For more information on the global call of action to scale up diabetes prevention, strengthen care, and enhance surveillance visit the WHO’s website: www.who.int/campaigns/world-health-day/2016/en/.
